This is the confession of all great intuitives, of gestural artists overwhelmed by the swiftness of their movements. Violaine Boisivon and her hands create sculptures of clay frozen in suspended motion, expressing a powerful and complex inner life.
The patina of her sculptures, which combines several techniques, contributes to a gestural and intuitive painting on certain pieces, a colorfield that saturates the form and gives it a more meditative dimension.
