Contexture
"Contexture" is an artistic concept that explores the combination of visual, conceptual and contextual elements of a work to give it an overall meaning. It highlights the complex interactions of the work in its plastic dimension and its intellectual environment. It considers the formal aspect: colors, lines, textures by revealing the relationships between ideas, symbols and cultural representations that underlie this physical structure. This positioning has a strong impact on the visual and sensory experience of the viewer.
In this exhibition, the artists explore the concept of "Contexture" by incorporating into their practice elements of a very concrete reality such as found objects, local, diverted or recycled materials. From these compositions emerge references to specific events, intimate or universal questions, cultural foundations. These artists seek to create immersive experiences that invite the public to reflect, and interact with the works, in order to participate in the construction of meaning.
